Lameroo School Community Library
The Lameroo School Community Library is located in the Lameroo Regional Community School as it is a combined school and public library. It opened in 1985 and is funded by the Southern Mallee District Council, The Department of Education and Child Development and the State Government.
All students must complete the library card in order to become a borrower. Parents and community members are encouraged to join the library that has network links with every other public library in Australia .
MEMBERSHIP IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC
The Library has a collection of books- fiction, non-fiction and large print books, magazines, cds, DVDs, e-books and e-magazines for borrowing, whilst reference, statistical and community information is also available in the library. Access to the collections of all S.A. Public Libraries, S.A. Video and Film Library and the State Library of S.A. can be obtained through PLAIN (Public Libraries Automated Information Network).
The Lameroo School Community Library offers FREE access to the Internet via WiFi to computers, tablets and mobile phones. It also offers other services such as photocopying, laminating, colour printing and scanning. Further equipment such as digital camera, video camera, public address system, screen and multi media projector may all be hired.
