Facilities

OUR FACILITIES

At LRCS, we work productively and collaboratively to create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments where every student can participate, explore and thrive. Our flexible classrooms and purpose-built facilities support diverse academic, creative, practical and physical learning experiences from science, agriculture and technology to the arts, food and sport.

General Learning Spaces

Our classrooms are purposefully designed and arranged to help students engage meaningfully with their learning. Because students learn in different ways, most spaces include dedicated desk areas alongside breakout zones for group work and less structured activities. This flexibility allows students to work in ways that support their comfort, focus and success.

Ag Farm

Our working agricultural farm gives students practical experience in farm safety, animal care, enterprise and land management. Students can hatch and raise chickens, participate in wool handling and shearing practicals, train cattle, investigate soils and crops, plant and maintain an orchard, and build and maintain fencing.

Art Studio

Our fully equipped Art Studio allows students to experiment with a wide range of media, techniques and creative processes. These include clay, digital art, photography, graphite, charcoal, ink, digital editing, acrylics, watercolours, oils, lino printing, screen printing and etching.

Gym

Our gym supports a broad range of indoor sports and physical activities, including basketball, netball, tennis, badminton, volleyball, indoor cricket, European handball and soccer. It provides a flexible, all-weather space where students can build fitness, teamwork, coordination and confidence.

Kitchen

Our industrial kitchen gives students the space and equipment to plan, prepare and evaluate recipes from around the world. Students learn safe food handling, nutrition, menu planning, presentation and practical cooking skills, progressing from healthy family meals to restaurant-quality dining experiences featuring local Mallee produce, Indigenous foods, seasonal ingredients, desserts, tapas, pasta and celebration cakes.

Performing Arts Centre

Our dedicated Performing Arts Centre includes a theatre and a smaller tutoring space. Students use these facilities for drama, mime, puppetry, playwriting, filmmaking, production rehearsals, music lessons and performances, as well as costume, set and stage design.

SACE Hub

Our dedicated SACE Hub provides senior students with a focused, supportive space for independent study, collaborative work and completing coursework during study lessons.

Science Lab

Our Science Lab provides the equipment and resources for practical learning across Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth Sciences. Students can conduct experiments, use microscopes, mix and separate substances, explore geology and take part in supervised dissections and other hands-on investigations.

Workshop

Our Materials Technology workshop is equipped with modern machinery and tools that allow students to bring design ideas to life. Projects can range from small timber and 3D-printed products to epoxy resin work, welding, furniture, trailers, tradie canopies, fire pits, barbecues and storage solutions.
